The Holland MENA Film Festival is an international film festival showcasing cinema from the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and the diaspora, with a special focus on stories that are often underrepresented in mainstream programming. The festival takes place in The Hague, Netherlands, a city known for its culture of dialogue and cultural exchange, bringing together filmmakers, audiences, artists, and communities for creative encounters and meaningful conversations.
The 7th edition will take place from 24 to 27 September 2026, following six successful previous editions. The festival features feature films, short films, and documentaries from the MENA region and beyond, providing a unique platform where cinema is celebrated not only as an art form but also as a bridge between cultures and experiences.
Over four days, the festival offers international premieres, Q&A sessions with filmmakers, panel discussions, workshops, cultural activities, and music performances at multiple venues across The Hague and surrounding neighborhoods. The festival also runs year-round activities, including community screenings, cultural events, and educational sessions, deepening audience engagement and supporting emerging talent.
We invite filmmakers from all backgrounds to submit their films and join us in celebrating diverse narratives that inspire dialogue, connection, and understanding through the powerful medium of cinema.(hollandmenafilmfestival.com/festival
