Born and raised in Kyoto City. After graduating from Kansai University, Hideyuki Kawatani went to the United States to study the basics of filmmaking in Los Angeles. Since then, he has been engaged in filmmaking activities, focusing on independent films and music videos.
In 2011, he returned to Japan after the earthquake disaster and worked as a director at a production company in Sendai, producing videos mainly related to disaster reconstruction. 2013, he moved to Tokyo and has been producing various genres of videos as a freelancer. 2020, he established a joint venture company, GOJO BRIDGE, as a representative and filmmaker.
