Welcome to the Heart of America Film Festival; a celebration of filmmaking talent and a platform for showcasing diverse voices. We provide an accessible entry process via FilmFreeway, a widely recognized film submission platform. Our festival features five exciting categories: Drama, Comedy, Student Film, Documentary, and Horror Film. Each category is further divided into two: Feature Films (greater than 45 minutes) and Short Films (less than 45 minutes).

Awards & Prizes

All submissions will compete for recognition in their respective categories, with the top three films in each receiving certificates. Additionally, the winners will gain an exclusive opportunity for an interview and a feature of their film on the FAVunite Tv platform.

We will acknowledge excellence across the following categories: Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary Feature, Best Documentary Short, Best Comedy Feature, Best Comedy Short, Best Student Film, Best Horror Feature, and Best Horror Short.
Our grand finale will stream on FAVunite Tv on December 15th, 2023, featuring a panel discussion with all winners.

This forum will allow filmmakers to share insights into their creative process, fostering an educational and engaging component to the festival. • We seek films that explore emotional themes and in-depth character
• development.
2. Comedy Films:
• Early Registration Fee: $25
• Late Registration Fee: $35
• We welcome films that aim to entertain audiences with humor and wit.

3. Student Films:
• Early Registration Fee: $15
• Late Registration Fee: $20
• This category is exclusive to filmmakers currently enrolled in educational institutions.
4. Documentary Films:
• Early Registration Fee: $25
• Late Registration Fee: $35
• Non-fiction films that provide insights into reality are encouraged for this category.
5. Horror Films:
• Early Registration Fee: $25
• Late Registration Fee: $35
• This category welcomes films intended to frighten, intrigue, or startle their viewers.
