HaveringEYC is a film festival dedicated to showcasing the talents of young artists and established filmmakers. Featuring a diverse lineup of films made by 13-19-year-olds, as well as engaging speaking events and workshops led by industry professionals, HaveringEYC offers a unique platform for the next generation of filmmaking talent.

[Our Purpose]
Our purpose here at the Havering EYC is to empower the young people of Havering to pursue their creative passions, whether you're a filmmaker actor or anything in between the Havering EYC wants you to celebrate your art and your culture and the festival is just the tip of that spear.

[Our Programming]
The Havering EYC wants to celebrate you and your art. That’s why we are dedicated to showing local films by local filmmakers, by shining a spotlight on the wealth of creativity on our doorstep. As well as works from established filmmakers in the industry to prove how far you can go if you truly set your mind to things.

[Our Value]
We strive for inclusivity at the Havering EYC, people of all walks of life and all creative backgrounds are welcomed and accepted into our growing community, we want the EYC to be a place where all creatives can work together to create the best films possible. Thereby breathing new life into Havering’s culture and art.

[Our Legacy]
We hope the young creatives who attend the festival leave inspired and determined to go out and become the bleeding edge of cinema and show the world that Havering truly is culturally and artistically engaged. Moving forward from the first Havering EYC Film Festival, we hope that the aspiring filmmakers return next November and display the work they have made.

[Guidelines]
- You are young creatives (13~19 years old) living in/around Havering, East London
- All genres are accepted.
- There are no prizes and awards.
- All submissions must be made in/around Havering, East London
- All submissions will be reviewed by the Havering EYC team. Selected works will be announced on November 18th, 2024, and selected creators will be contacted via email with further details.
- We encourage freedom to express but don’t accept aggressive, harmful, age-restricted work. Please avoid explicit content that may not be suitable for the age group.
- Incomplete films/works can be submitted for consideration; however, any content submitted must be supplied by 20th November 2024 in its completed form.

[Your Agreement]
- By submitting your work, you grant the Havering EYC Film Festival the right to screen your submission at the festival event on 30th November at MyPlace. Creators retain full ownership and rights of their work. Works submitted must be original and not infringe on any copyright or third-party rights.
- You cannot withdraw your submission after the official selection announcement.

Important notice: By submitting to Havering EYC Festival, we consider that the submitter owns all the rights to the work, meaning that the submitted work (i) does not violate or infringe any copyright, patent, privacy right, publicity right, trademark, service mark or any other personal or property right of any person or entity, that (ii) does not constitute or include defamation of any person or entity. Also, the submitter is duly authorised, on his/her own behalf and on behalf of all other persons or entities who have any ownership rights or interests (including, without limitation, intellectual property rights) in or relating to the film, to exhibit the film at the Festival.
