Haunted House is about grass-roots independent filmmaking. Celebrate the fun of bone-chilling the horror genre. Our aim is to bring independent filmmaking to the City of Bradford, West Yorkshire. Bradford began as a village by a ford. Brad meant broad. By the time of the Domesday Book in 1086 the village by the broad ford had grown quite large (by the standards of the time) with perhaps 300-350 people. The city grew through very quickly at the dawn of the Industrial Age and in the early 1930s had more millionaires per capita than any other city in the UK.

We are holding our festival in MARCH 2021 and offering cash prizes from $50 upwards as prizes.

SO WHAT DO WE WANT?

The goal of this festival is to share our love of the horror genre with very few restrictions on content. All horror sub-genres and styles are welcome! Horror-comedy; monsters; psycho-killers; supernatural horror; horror-sci-fi; fantasy-horror; documentaries on horror-related subjects; music! In fact anything vaguely connected with horror. If it's horror we want it!

In 2020 we will test screening at our new venue The IDLE DRAPERS in Bradford, West Yorkshire. It has a dedicated screening room and brews through its own micro brewer... Hence, it's time for BEER & FEAR!

The upcoming festival will take place in March 2021. As a thank-you for submitting, all entrants receive a complimentary copy of Anthony Straeger's 'Creating Success with your Submissions'. This booklet will help in getting the most out of your submissions. Providing you the best chance of success not only in our festival, but others that you submit to.

We have changed the prize format this year and will be offering CASH PRIZES. A special GRIM REAPER AWARD will be given to the overall winner. Each category winner will receive a cash prize and certificate.

We will also review each selected entry on IMDB.
