Harald Zwart made his first film when he was 8 years old.

Spent four years at the Dutch Film and TV Academy in Amsterdam where he graduated in Directing, Screenplay and Editing.

After a series of award-winning short films (Audience Award Clairmont Ferrand, Audience Award Montreal), commercials (Cannes, The Golden Pencil) and music videos (for A-ha), Harald made his first feature film, Commanter Hamilton (Moviola and TV3) with Peter Stormare, Mark Hamill and Lena Olin. The film was a success in all Scandinavian cinemas and was a hit TV series.

He was then headhunted by Steven Spielberg and Michael Douglas to the USA, and moved to Santa Monica with his wife and producer Veslemøy Ruud Zwart where she established their production company Zwart Arbeid and Motion Blur Inc.

Harald One Night At McCool's (USA Films, Furthur Films) with Michael Douglas as producer. Starring Michael Douglas, John Goodman, Liv Tyler, Matt Dillon, Richard Jenkins and others.

His comedy franchise Long Flat Balls is the highest grossing comedy franchise of all time. The three films sold more tickets than 19 out of 23 Marvel movies in Norway. The films are considered cult classics and are beloved by everyone in the heartland.

Harald has worked with major actor and producer names such as Will Smith, Steve Martin, Andy Garcia, Jean Reno, Jeremy Irons, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Lena Heady, Jackie Chan, John Goodman, Paul Reiser, Liv Tyler, John Cleese, John Travolta, Richard Gere only to mention a few.

Harald Zwart has grossed 650 million world wide with his films, where the biggest success so far was Karate Kid (SONY), with Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, produced by Will Smith. The film grossed over $ 380 million.

The 12th Man (Zwart Arbeid, Nordisk Film) produced by his own company Zwart Arbeid with Veslemøy Ruud Zwart and Espen Horn in collaboration with Nordisk Film.

Harald has also written several scripts, that are now in early prep.
