Sean Haitz’s first annual Happy Fright Film Fest—a celebration of the twisted and hilarious world of independent horror with a unique comedy horror blend! This festival is more than just a film showcase; it’s a live event where we come together to experience creativity with live entertainment  including stand-up comedy featuring horror icon PANCHO MOLER (Rob Zombie's 31 & 3 From Hell) along with horror marketplace and vendors with classic arcade pop-up. We will have live music from psychobilly ghoul-rock band - SIX SILVER BULLETS.

Sean Haitz is an indie horror filmmaker who has been making movies since he was 12. He's worked with horror icons such as Bill Moseley for his films Big Top Evil and Bellevue Bob. He’s also worked with Felissa Rose (SleepAway Camp) and Vernon Wells (Commando, Mad Max): Road Warrior on his upcoming AREA 5150. When Sean puts down the camera, he picks up a guitar as lead singer for the surf punk band Cosmic Jetties and he’s also dipped his toe into stand up comedy. The Happy Fright Film Fest is an event to celebrate all these amazing arts – and some thrills and chills. So, step right up and we’ll see you there!

** Our Selection / Awards Procedure: Festival Director / Producers make official selections for the festival by vote. Official Selections are then screened/graded by 3 different judges.

Rules & Terms

• Genre: Horror (can include elements of psychological, supernatural, slasher, comedy)
• Originality: Must be an original work; must be made within the last five years
• Format: HD (1080p) or 4K (Apple Pro Res) resolution in mp4 or mov format.
• Language: Films not in English must include English subtitles.
• Submission Fee: $15.

I am duly authorized to submit this film to the festival.

I hold Happy Fright Film Festival harmless from any damage to the print(s) or media materials(s) en route or otherwise during the course of the festival’s possession of the film.

I hold Happy Fright Film Festival its owners, management, juries, subsidiaries, agents, sponsors, affiliates, and etc. harmless from any and all claims of liability resulting from my entry.

I certify that I have full rights to the use of the music in the entered work.

I give permission for Happy Fright Film Festival to use stills, trailers, titles, copy, and/or information for promotional purposes.
I give permission for Happy Fright Film Festival to screen the film at the Festival live and online for which it was submitted.

If selected I will provide Happy Fright Film Festival with a digital copy of my films movie poster (in vertical format) for use on the festival website.
