Hammonton Arts and Music Festival Short Film Festival: Rules and Guidelines
1. Eligibility:
The festival is open to all filmmakers worldwide.
Films must be no longer than 40 minutes in length, including credits.
Films must be in English or have English subtitles.
Films must be submitted by the deadline.
There is a limit of 3 submissions per filmmaker. Each film requires an additional entry form and fee.
Films must have been completed in 2023 or later
Single episodes of web series ARE eligible
Films that are available online ARE eligible (must meet above criteria)
2. Submission Formats:
Only online submissions are accepted via FilmFreeway
If film is accepted, a physical copy of the submitted work must be received by April 25th.
Format accepted:
• 1920 x 1080 Pixels
• 24 Frames Per Second (23.98fps is also accepted)
• 5.1 Audio (Stereo is also accepted)
All submissions must include a brief synopsis (maximum 150 words).
4. Submission Fee:
There is a submission fee of $25 for Early Deadline (March 15th). $35 for Regular Deadline (April 5th)
5. Deadline:
Submissions must be received by April 5th, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
6. Notification:
Filmmakers will be notified by April 19th, 2025 whether their film has been selected for screening.
Selected films will be announced by email, Facebook, and Instagram
7. Film Screening & Awards:
Selected films will be screened during the festival on May 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at show venues
8. Usage Rights:
By submitting a film to the festival, the filmmaker grants Mainstreet Hammonton and Art Club Hammonton the right to use excerpts of the film for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, trailers, and press releases.
9. Hold Harmless Agreement:
By submitting a film, the filmmaker agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Mainstreet Hammonton, Art Club Hammonton, and any of their officers, agents, and representatives, from any and all claims, actions, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from or related to the submission, exhibition, or promotion of the film at the festival.
The filmmaker further agrees that Mainstreet Hammonton and Art Club Hammonton will not be responsible for any loss or damage to submitted films or materials, nor for any personal injury or property damage related to participation in the festival.
10. Festival Terms:
Mainstreet Hammonton and Art Club Hammonton reserve the right to reject any films that do not comply with the festival’s rules and guidelines.
The festival organizers retain the right to disqualify any film that violates ethical, legal, or intellectual property guidelines.
Decisions by the selection committee are final.
