Now an annual event, HYFF is largely promoted to the young adults of the Hamilton community and beyond. To date, HYFF has received over 1100 submissions from around the world, and the festival has featured guest speakers, such as Juno Rinaldi (Canadian actress and playwright) as well as Nathan Fleet (Hamiltonian and Hamilton Film Festival Founder).

This festival is non-competitive and all inclusive.

The film can not be any longer then 15 minutes (including credits). If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact info@hamiltonyouthfilmfestival.ca

I was honoured with my film screening at this great film festival, but unfortunately I could not attend. I hope that next year, I'll be able to be there in person! Thanks for making student films important!

This festival was so much fun! Although my film did not win its category, it was a great trip for our video class and I look forward to attending again!

This festival was very well handled for it being the first year. Great communication with the director. Though I did wish there was some kind of recognition or form that displayed the wins. Overall, great festival, I'd submit again.
