The Hallow Ian Horror Hour is Seattle's Scare-ity Show. We feature independent short films, music videos, interviews with horror creatives, and more. The show is hosted by Hallow Ian and The Graveyard Gang, a spooky group of ghosts, ghouls, witches, and vampires.

Hallow Ian Horror Hour will be presented at The Grand Cinema

The show airs on local TV, has a physical media release on VHS, and features a number of live shows at horror cons.

Send us your horror, sci-fi, dark comedy, and adjacent short films, music videos. All things Halloween are welcome!

All awards are voted on by the audience, and feature categories such as:

Favorite Short Film
Favorite Music Video
Favorite Kill
Favorite Performance
Favorite Score

Audiences include all watchers, live, YouTube, local TV, and votes will be held on social media platforms including YouTube and Discord.

Selected shorts and music videos will be included on the program on Seattle cable television. A smaller selected amount will be invited to be on the physical media release.

Since the show airs on TV, we advise finishing other festival runs before submitting to Hallow Ian Horror Hour because it may be considered a public release by other festivals.

Since we air on TV, we do need TV edits your submission needs to be edited for TV (language, nudity, etc.), but these edits can be made after the selection process. If your short cannot be edited to meet FCC standards, it may not be eligible for the main show, but we are happy to consider quality films for physical media, web only, and live show releases.

You must own or have licenses for all assets in the film.

This fantastic group of individuals are creating an incredible show. They are easy to work with and have the talent to put together an exceptional production. I highly recommend sending your film to this festival.

I really enjoyed being a part of the Hallow Ian Horror Hour. Always very nice in communications, their social media always kept me up to date on their events and plans. Enjoyed watching their show and the shorts and music videos they showed. Love how committed they are to their show as they are expanding it. Will definitely submit more work to them as I can.

  • This is a truly excellent and unique festival to be a part of. My short was not just in a list of horror films - it was part of a horror family! I felt like I was sharing the journey with out of this world characters such as Sam, Hallow Ian, the Screaming Ghost and don't forget Kitchen Witch. Then there all the cool bands, interviews with horror film makers, and the most bizarre selection of commercials I have ever seen!
