The HBCU First Look Film Festival and Tour was an unforgettable experience that beautifully celebrated excellence, creativity, and community within Black cinema. From the panels to the premieres, the quality of programming and organization was exceptional. Every element — from communication to hospitality — reflected care, purpose, and professionalism.

The opportunity to connect with filmmakers, industry leaders, and fellow visionaries was nothing short of inspiring. The festival’s commitment to amplifying authentic Black stories and nurturing emerging talent made every moment feel intentional and impactful.

A heartfelt thank-you to the entire HBCU First Look team for selecting HIM+ as the Winner of the 3rd Annual HBCU First Look Film Festival. This honor means more than words can express. It’s a reminder that purpose truly has perfect timing, and that our stories — rooted in truth, healing, and faith — will always find their light.

This wasn’t just a festival — it was a movement. A space where legacy met new voices, and the next generation of storytellers were reminded that we belong on every screen.
