Rules & Terms

Accepting submissions of all genres and formats from African and Middle Eastern filmmakers and the diaspora on films about the regions, as well as international filmmakers who have produced content about the territories.
Completion date after October 2024.
Preference will be given to South African premieres.

    I so enjoyed premiering my film MASINGA - THE CALLING @ the Fugard Theatre in District 6. It has such history & a wonderfully fitting venue for a film festival with roots in Cape Town's Muslim community, but which embraces all film. // I was also impressed by the very supportive management and staff - who made the occasion very friendly and welcoming // I hope to see this event grow from strength to strength and become acknowledged as a platform for young South African independent cinema creatives.

    What a wonderful festival to have been part of. The first local one that Yellow Daisy Butterfly was honoured to have been part of. The film's were amazing and was great to meet and network with so many wonderful filmmakers especially local ones. The festival gives a chance to highlight the best of African Films to watch and enjoy. Well done to all involved.
