Gustavo Aviles has been directing films since 2001, crafting bold and genre-defying stories that push creative boundaries. His film "Twilight of Dreams: Zombie Jesus Vampire Hunter" has been showcased at festivals across the United States, Canada, England, Mexico, Europe, and Hong Kong. The film received a three-day reception at the Morbido Film Festival in Mexico, won Best VFX at the Florida Horror Film Festival, earned the Audience Award at the Sick 'n' Wrong Film Festival, and received the Spotlight Silver Award for "unforgettable films." It also took home Silver for Best Short at the Wallachia International Film Festival.
Building on the success of the original, Gustavo is set to release the highly anticipated 2025 feature film "Zombie Jesus Vampire Hunter", expanding the vision of his acclaimed short. In tandem with the film, he has released "Zombie Jesus Vampire Hunter: The Codices Vol. I", the first of a two-volume graphic novel that deepens the lore of the franchise.
Beyond his independent filmmaking, Gustavo's post-production work for network broadcasts and social media has been recognized with fourteen PromaxBDA Awards, multiple New York Festival of Television and Film Awards, and numerous Telly Awards.
