I’ve been involved in film and TV since I was ten years old, beginning with acting roles in Batman Begins and Asylum. This was an extraordinarily privileged introduction to the industry, but I quickly realised that my true interest lay behind the camera, and it was not long before I started writing my own scripts.
I worked for two years in the development team at the prestigious TV production company New Pictures, helping to make dramas series for HBO, Netflix and the BBC, including Catherine the Great, White House Farm and Des. This was an invaluable experience, working alongside directors, writers and executive producers to develop shows from inception to transmission.
The role was both creative, in terms of developing story and character, and practical, involving close collaboration with the production team. It was an opportunity to hone my writing skills by working with seasoned professionals and learn about all aspects of the production process.
Recently, I have been focused on my own writing projects, writing three feature-length scripts and several shorts. The first short film that I directed, My Best Friend's Recipe (2024), screened as part of the Official Selection for the BIFA-qualifying festival, Brighton Rocks.
