I am an independent filmmaker and visual storyteller whose journey began in the 1990s, when a simple hobby of capturing moments through a lens evolved into a lifelong passion. With a strong foundation in fashion and portrait photography, I spent over a decade crafting visual narratives before transitioning into the world of filmmaking in 2012, alongside a group of like-minded friends.
This transition sparked my deep interest in cinematic storytelling. To strengthen the foundation, I pursued formal training in digital filmmaking at Objectifs – Centre for Photography and Film in Singapore, where I studied all key aspects of filmmaking—direction, cinematography, scriptwriting, sound, lighting, and editing.
In March 2021, I directed my first short film, The Decision, which went on to receive accolades at 7 out of 10 film festivals it was submitted to. My second short, Not Me, was completed in February 2022 winning 6 awards in various film festivals.
My third film, The Perfect Brew (2025), marks a deeper exploration into human relationships, culture, and emotional growth.
I am driven by a desire to tell emotionally grounded stories that reflect human truths, blending realism with artistic expression. I am particularly drawn to drama, art-house, experimental, and fictional genres, and aims to continue pushing creative boundaries using the latest advancements in cinematography, editing, and visual storytelling. My vision is to create films that not only entertain but also resonate deeply with audiences through authentic, relatable experiences.
