His recent short documentary, Home Brews: Struggles for a Tradition, follows a woman from the Rabha community preserving the age-old rice wine-making tradition. The film has been screened worldwide and has received multiple accolades.. Currently, Gunjan is developing an ambitious long-form documentary rooted in the Northeast, continuing his commitment to amplify unheard voices and safeguard cultural legacies. The upcoming project delves into a deeply personal and challenging subject, promising to extend his signature style of immersive, empathetic storytelling to new creative heights.
