Gulnara Ivanova is a director and screenwriter from Uzbekistan. Born in Yangiyul, she graduated from the Faculty of English Philology at the Uzbek State World Languages University. She later studied acting at the Ilkhom Theatre and has been directing and filming.
She participated in the Stephen King Dollar Baby program and adapted The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands, which gained recognition at international festivals.
She enrolled at VGIK (All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S.A. Gerasimov), one of the most prestigious film schools in the world, where she further honed her skills in filmmaking and screenwriting.
Her works have won awards at various international film festivals.
