Our December 20, 2023 Festival will be hosted at the historic Teaneck Cinemas (Teaneck, NJ).

Grove Film Festival was created to offer a fun relaxed festival atmosphere, showcasing quality independent films, while offering networking opportunities in a fun upbeat setting. The diverse array of films, selected by a committee, includes features and shorts from all genres, as well as documentaries, music videos and screenplays. The festival is hosted in Jersey City New Jersey; with an after party following the screenings, that includes networking for actors and filmmakers.

Our festival will be a one night event, with films screening in the screening room of the Brightside Tavern in Jersey City. Following the screenings will be a chance for filmmakers and actors to mingle, followed by an after party. Food and Beverages are available during the screenings and after.

The Audience Choice Award is determined by the festival attendees voting.

Winning and nominated screenplays will be listed on our website.

Overall Rating
  • A fun and awesome film festival!

I was so nervous to share my film “No Regrets” for the first time to an audience, but the film fans and community were really amazing and full of positive energy.

I met several people I’m hoping to collaborate with as both an actor a a filmmaker, too.

All good energy. Thank you so much for the official selection and for this memorable opportunity. I will definitely submit to (and attend) Grove Film Festival again!

Great festival! Jersey City has a vibrant artistic scene, and it is a good draw over the river for NYC artists. Phenomenal networking!

  • This is quite a lovely festival and very well run. I enjoyed having the opportunity to network with other filmmakers and that there was a space/time dedicated in the schedule for that. Great job to all the wonderful films that were shown!

  • This is so exciting: “Finding Emmaus” won “Best Unproduced Screenplay” this past Wednesday night! As a writer, it is so gratifying to have a completely objective committee of professionals read my work and chose it as “best.”
My deepest thanks to Larry Rosen (Festival Director) and all those involved in Grove Film Festival for this opportunity and for this honor.

Amazing time at Grove this week! Congrats to all of the official selections, nominees and winners. I saw some amazing films. My buddy Dan Gregory said it best last night. "There are a lot of people who say they produce but do not produce.." So even having a film officially selected is an honor in itself. Thank you Larry and crew. Job well done!
