I have been working in the film industry for more than half my life, mostly as a union Makeup FX artist (IMDb - Greg Solomon I). But in the course of my “day-job” I was required to read countless scripts that needed FX breakdowns. Some were very good. Others were almost unreadable. This started me down the road of studying Screenwriting around the mid 90’s. Mostly self-taught through books but I also attended writing seminars and boot-camps whenever I could.
Eventually I had the good fortune to acquire the representation of a Literary Manager in Los Angeles and had several good interviews with very prestigious production companies including Weed Road, Lightstorm, and Hallmark but, alas, I remain unproduced and no longer have a literary manager.
I have recently retired from doing makeup and have devoted the rest of my career to writing Faith-Based Screenplays. “Seeking Grace” is based on a true story and is my 7th and most recent endeavor. I firmly believe that a story based on real events have the most lasting impact on people because they always hit close to home, no matter one’s life experience. It is a very fulfilling experience for me to write them and I pray they will also inspire those who watch.
