Greg Jeschke is an award-winning journalist who has had a life-long career in broadcast news, including more than 20 years creating documentaries. He was raised on a farm in southern Wisconsin and began his career in radio at age 16. At 23, he got his first television job as a main evening anchor. His experience includes anchoring and reporting the news on TV in San Francisco, Portland, Oregon, and most recently, in Madison. In addition to his regular duties he created, produced and hosted two documentary series, “Our West” and “Our Wisconsin”. His programs have focused on giving a voice to marginalized groups in the community. His documentaries on racial disparities and climate change earned Edward R. Murrow Awards and his documentary on the origins of the environmental movement was recognized with an Emmy. In 2018, he formed JDog Productions, LLC and became an independent documentary producer so that he could devote himself full-time to his true passion. In Spring 2020, he released two new documentaries; one on people with disabilities who struggle to live independently, the other on the journey of an African American man from Wisconsin who traced his ancestry back to slavery and encountered some of his white relatives for the first time. And, in 2022, JDog Productions released its third documentary, Stage Presents, which follows a group of youngsters who performed together in children's theater. Greg and his wife live in Madison.
