The Gonzaga University ScreenDance Film Festival is presented by the Gonzaga Theatre and Dance Department’s Dance Program. Filmmakers are encouraged to submit films that explore and embrace our humanness through the artistic medium of dance. Being human expands far beyond the physical, but rather, a reciprocal exchange between mind and spirit. Films could include, but not limited to, various components of the human body - talents, abilities, physical attributes, personalities, desires, hearts, faith, and minds are all equally worthy of care and attention.

All proceeds benefit Gonzaga University's Dance for Parkinson's program.

✓ All films submitted for the Gonzaga Dance Film Festival must be between 3 – 8 minutes in length
✓ Mp4 at a resolution of 1080p or higher
✓ All submissions must include the First and Last name, phone number, and email
✓ Include 1 -2 photos of the work. (.jpeg or.png format)
✓ Complete the registration form and sign and return waiver indicating the Gonzaga Dance Film Festival has the right to share images and short clips of your film for marketing and publicity purposes no later than the day of registration.

  • We were grateful and excited to be included in the festival. Due to our location in Europe we didn’t attend though. For this reason I enquired about photographic documentation of the screening/festival, but have yet to receive a reply. Also, there isn’t a lot of info or material about the festival programming on the University dance department’s social media profile(s). However, based on the info I did find, the festival’s premise to limit the number of works, to only give one award as well as team up with a charity all sounds great to us.
