Giuseppe A. Modica is an Italian-American director, screenwriter, and producer, born in the United States in 1985 to Italian parents. He lives in the province of Rome and trained in directing, screenwriting, and theater at specialized academies and workshops. He began his filmmaking journey at a very young age, producing independent short films on extremely low budgets, and over the years has developed solid on-set experience in both Italy and the United States, primarily in the directing and production departments.
In 2025, he made “Qui dove il mare luccica”, a short documentary produced by Last Horizon Srl under the patronage of the Municipality of Sorrento. The film has received considerable international recognition on the festival circuit, standing out for the number of selections and awards it has garnered. Fluent in both Italian and English, he also works as a screenplay consultant and as a jury member at film festivals.
