Giovanni Margotto was born in Verona on 29 August 2002. He's had a passion for cinema since he was 16. He took part in Festival dei Popoli in Florence as a volunteer in 2022. He worked for Galaxia Casting as an extra for a TV series directed by Joe Wright in Trieste in 2023 and always in the same year he obtained a diploma in Directing and Screenwriting at StudioCinema International, under the guidance of Tommaso Avati, Daniele Costantini, Emanuela Morozzi and Luca Verdone. He attended courses Higher cinematographic education on the “Stanislavskij System - character study”. In September he worked as a dubbing assistant for Ahora! Film, a film studio in
Verona by director Marco Pollini, with whom he released for the first time
the English film Fisherman's Friends in Italian cinemas.
The short film “Ossessioni” is his filmmaking debut.
