Ghazal Tahernia is a Toronto based stop-motion director and animator. She studied Integrated Media at OCAD University with the specialization in animation and worked with mixed media, drawing, and sculpture alongside her animated practices. She worked on interstitials for PBS Kids and commercial spots through Stop Motion Department Inc and she has been an animation instructor for TAIS (Toronto Animated Image Society). Her short animation Orlloon and I was screened at festivals in Canada and France and had grabbed the attention of its audience with its vivid colors and unique storytelling. Her most recent work explores her cultural routes through an animated dance performance.
