Genesis Film Festival Osogbo, is created as an initiative towards spawning a film/entertainment culture in Osun State. It strongly aims to spur a mindset that embraces and appreciates the art of filmmaking and entertainment in the people, thereby providing filmmakers with a fresh and vibrant audience.
The Festival is focused at furnishing filmmakers with a social platform to network and mine for and uncover talents and resources available to be tapped and channeled into producing future masterpieces.
All these are set to be achieved with the overall aim of drawing a global attention to the city of Osogbo and to make it a first choice destination for filmmakers in the nearest future.
This groundbreaking event serves to motivate individuals with talents and dreams of filmmaking, who thought their dreams could never be actualized or welcomed in this environment, providing them enough gusto to keep them on their toes and bring their dreams to life.
We for see a number of initiatives that will be offshoot of this great event. In an environment that is film savvy, film clubs, cinematography training/film schools, acting schools and the likes will begin to creep up, inevitably.
Genesis Film Festival will not only be strategic and earnest, it will be packed with a lot of pizzazz and glamour and promises to be sensational in every sense of the word!
