I'm a passionate filmmaker who aims to work in an understated, naturalistic way with other artists, creating intimate, character & relationship based stories that bring joy, emotional release & some level of understanding of what it is to be human.
An award winner actor, in 2023 Gemma was selected by BFI Network South West as a New Voices participant. Prior to this she produced and directed her first micro-short ‘Queer Enough’. Previous work as an actor includes ‘The Lambeth Poisoner’ for The Discovery Channel and ITV’s BAFTA winning drama ‘The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies’. As a writer Gemma was shortlisted for Theatre West’s ‘Making an Exhibition of Yourself’ initiative, her next short as a writer / actor is currently in pre-production.
