Have you ever seen a a film that was DNA code set to music...? We have. Have you ever seen a documentary where puppets race radio controlled cars...? We have. Have you ever been on Reddit or hooked on Ingress. We have. We are.

So that's what GeekFestToronto is all about. A celebration for people like us who know who we are and how neat it is to be either a Nerd or a Geek or in love with Science .

We don't need a bushy beard to let the world know who we are. We just need maybe the latest Gadget, Innovation, Gamer craze, a Weird Topic and a Film or Documentary we can relate to. And friends who relate to us.

So let's see those Films, Documentaries, Talks and Demos Today!

There's nothing like screening at a festival that shares your values and your passions. The GeekFestToronto crew was incredibly warm and communicative. As a virtual attendee, I had an absolute blast, and found the Q&A to be incredibly well researched and thoughtful. I loved seeing the work from the other filmmakers and it was such an honor to be among them. Thank you all so much, this is such a special event and well-run festival. I'm so honored to have been a part of it.

  • Run by great people who did a really nice job making the most of a virtual format. They were able to fully convey the fun and excitement of screening your project as well as Q and A. Everything was well organized and communicated. I will be back!

Putting together a festival is hard and putting a virtual festival is even HARDER. I have submitted so many projects to so many film festivals throughout the years and I have to admit that the experience with you guys has been great from A to Z. From the first email to the award ceremony, the experience has been great all around. We only wished the Q&A would have been longer haha!

It's so heartwarming to have a festival we can call "home" that totally understands the art we try to do in our films. Every project and artist is different and knowing the festival team is putting as much effort in the organisation as we put in our film is priceless.

Many times with film festivals we just feel we pay the admission fee and never hear from them again. Communication is weak and the event falls flat. With GFT I felt I was part of an experience and not just another film festival. I felt I was at the right place, with the right project for the right people.

A big thank you and I am looking forward to sending you my next project!
