Ganeesh Genus is an award-winning filmmaker from West Palm Beach, Florida. He graduated from St. John’s university with a Bachelor of Science in Television and Film Production. Currently, he attends The City College of New York, where he will graduate with an MFA in Media Arts Production with a focus on narrative filmmaking.
His style and personal approach to filmmaking is to mix the real with the surreal, to truly depict the world around him.
His work has been shown in the U.S. and abroad in countries like Nigeria, Poland, and Spain, and have earned him awards like being named an Honorary State Representative in Indiana for his contribution to the Black community through the arts.
