Gabriel S Moses has been called by his worst critics, “an overgrown teenager who won't come to terms with his receding hairline.” He is mainly a filmmaker and performer and openly states he's constantly looking for ways to do ridiculous things with taxpayers' money. Despite his ill demeanor, he still manages to bag some scholarships (like DAAD, for his current PhD project at the Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar), awards (like the 1st prize of the Future Storytelling contest by HKW in 2014), residencies (like Hangar Barcelona for his McFly McFly project in 2017), and to showcase in altogether legitimate establishments like Lenbachhaus, transmediale, Ars Electronica, File, re-publica and a bunch of universities. He is also a filmmaker, a published writer and graphic novelist, the coeditor of Kalypso: Journal for Doom and Gloom Hermeneutics, Working Titles: Journal for Practice-Based Research, the cofounder of ArtUp Nation and the Beuys Club, and the mind behind the wellness community turned cult turned LARP, Desperately Seeking. Not a good person, stay away.
