My name is Devin Robinson, and I’m a passionate storyteller who thrives at the intersection of music, film, and real-life experience. Over the past four years, I’ve grown from experimenting behind the camera to producing, directing, and acting in full-length feature films that speak to where I come from and where I’m headed.
My first two films, Decisions and Decisions 2, dive deep into the urban crime genre and are currently streaming on Tubi. These projects gave me the foundation to build from and also taught me just how powerful raw, honest stories can be when done right. From the streets to the screen, I wanted to show the beauty, conflict, and tough decisions that shape our communities.
As I evolved, so did my creativity. I’ve since expanded into new genres, including my third film, Don’t Trust, a romantic comedy thriller designed to keep audiences guessing and engaged from beginning to end. Don’t Trust is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime. I’ve had the honor of seeing my work screened in theaters five times a combination of Decisions, Decisions 2, and Don’t Trust and featured in film festivals across the country. Watching different audiences react, laugh, gasp, get quiet, has sharpened my storytelling and deepened my understanding of what truly connects with people. I also have an upcoming psychological thriller titled Leonard Joplin releasing in 2025, which will be hitting theaters as well.
I’m fortunate to have family by my side on this journey. My brother, Desmond Robinson (GMDTV), is a gifted cinematographer whose eye helps bring my vision to life. My cousin, Unique Robinson, is the lead director on many of our projects, and together with our talented cast and crew, we’ve built something bigger than just film, we’ve built a movement.
Before film, I was a rapper and that creative muscle still fuels everything I do. Whether it’s a verse or a monologue, I care about rhythm, emotion, and truth. That’s what I bring to every project under Global Minded Demeanor Films.
Thank you for checking out my work. I hope my films entertain, inspire, and spark conversation and I look forward to the chance to connect with you in person.
