- Submissions will not be accepted after October 15th, 2020, the final submission deadline.
- Works in progress are not accepted.
- Film submissions must have been produced after January 2017.
- Entries must be in English or subtitled in English.
- All work must be original, both picture and sound.
Length:
- Films must be no longer than 30 minutes excluding opening/closing credits. There is no minimum length.
Film Format:
- The film must be submitted as a 1920X1080, 24 fps, MP4/MOV file using the H.264 codec.
Submission:
- To be eligible for free submission, films must be uploaded to FilmFreeway portal by midnight on September 1st, 2020.
Late films:
- Films submitted after the earlybird deadline (September 1st) will be charged $5 USD.
All films submitted to this competition waive the right to have their content redistributed on fylmtv.com and in any promotional materials necessary. All films will be showcased on our Youtube channel for public voting. If you wish to opt out of the redistribution clause, contact clay@fylmtv.com.
No liability or responsibility is assumed by Fylm TV resulting from any user's participation in or attempt to participate in the Fylm TV Short Film Competition or ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with participating in the Competition.
No responsibility or liability is assumed by Fylm TV for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the Competition: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted e-mail transmissions; inaccessibility of the Web Site in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the Internet or the Web Site; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Competition, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms; or destruction of any aspect of the Competition, or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of an email account used in connection with the Competition.
Fylm TV is not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Web Site or social media sites maintained by the Fylm TV Short Film Competition.
By participating in the Competition, Entrant agrees to release, indemnify and hold Fylm TV harmless from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such Entrant's participation in the Competition.
By submitting you agree to the following:
- I have read all of the Fylm TV Short Film Competition rules. I understand and have complied with these rules.
- I warrant the submission of my original work and there are no disputes regarding the ownership of the submission. I also warrant the submitted material does not defame or invade the rights of any person living or dead and I fully indemnify Fylm TV against any claim made for such violations of law.
- To the best of my knowledge, all of the statements herein are true and correct.
- I understand that failure to adhere to Fylm TV's rules will result in disqualification.
- I agree to hold Fylm TV harmless from and defend them against all claims, demands, losses, damages, judgments, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or in connection with any and all claims of third parties, whether or not groundless, based on any film submitted to Fylm TV.
