Open Call to All Storytellers
From idea to script, if you’ve got a story, this is your shot.
Any genre. Any background. Any voice. Submissions are open to all.
From Page to Proof is a new initiative from GET IT MADE and The Writers Lab to help storytellers turn their screenplay into a Proof of Concept (POC) — a short, high-impact visual piece that conveys the style, tone, and market potential of a feature or TV pilot.
The grand prize winner will have their Proof of Concept (whether a short film or cinematic trailer) made to showcase its full potential to studios, streamers, and investors, along with a 90-day GET IT MADE Membership. Five finalists will also receive a 90-day GET IT MADE Membership to refine and package their projects for industry readiness.
To give everyone the strongest start, Earliest Bees are invited to two free virtual workshops led by GET IT MADE and The Writers Lab.
HOW IT WORKS
To be considered, you must have a completed feature or pilot screenplay, and you must submit a POC script no longer than 6 pages. The POC should capture the tone, style, and heart of your larger work — something that makes us want to see the full story.
We encourage you to secure Earliest Bees pricing so you can join both the GET IT MADE Workshop and The Writers Lab Workshop before judging begins. These group sessions are designed to help refine your POC script, sharpen your concept, and give you an edge in the selection process.
Register early and still take your time; you’ll have until October 25 to upload your materials.
SET YOURSELF UP TO WIN (Pay early, submit later)
Claim the Earliest Bees rate and secure a spot in both a GET IT MADE virtual Workshop and The Writers Lab virtual Workshop. These group sessions will help you refine your Proof of Concept script with feedback from industry professionals, giving you an advantage before judging begins.
Plus, you still have until October 25 to upload your materials.
WHAT ARE THE POC WORKSHOPS?
The POC Workshops are exclusive sessions designed to help you refine your Proof of Concept before it’s judged.
• GET IT MADE POC Workshop (9/23) – Led by our producers, this session focuses on making your concept production-ready, with insights on visual storytelling, pacing, and market appeal.
• The Writers Lab POC Workshop (10/07) – Led by TWL mentors, this session focuses on elevating your writing craft, strengthening character arcs and sharpening dialogue and genre tone so your script lands clearly and cleanly.
• POC x Jeff Luini (10/23) - Featuring the Emmy®-winning producer of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Welcome to Wrexham. This session is free and open to the public as part of our mission to make industry knowledge more accessible for all storytellers.
Exclusively for From Page to Proof submitters:
• Voice, Vision, and the “Why You” (11/12): Refine how you frame your story and yourself. We’ll walk through the “Why this story? Why now? Why you?” lens—helping you connect your personal voice to your project’s larger impact.
• Packaging & Presentation - (12/11): Also known as “Project Readiness” here at GET IT MADE. Learn what makes a submission stand out from a producer’s perspective. We’ll share a readiness checklist and best practices for polishing your logline, synopsis, and pitch positioning.
• Live Q&A (01/12): Join the TWL team for a fast-paced Q&A session. Bring your final questions (big or small) and get direct, supportive answers in speed-round format before you submit your final materials.
Together, these workshops give you both a creative and a production perspective so your Proof of Concept is as strong as possible before the competition begins. [Zoom details will be shared once submission fees are collected.]
