Frit has 10 years of filming experience. Initially producing and shooting corporate videos for clients such as Network Rail, Sainsbury's and Barnado’s, Frit moved into filmmaking to tell stories that made an impact on him. Specialising now in Adventure Documentaries, he set up his film studio, Passion Fruit Pictures, with the sole mission of adding colour and diversity to the adventure industry through filmmaking.
Adventurers of all ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations and abilities - Frit spends the majority of his time having the privilege of either filming with people from these underrepresented groups, or editing the films he’s shot with them. His recent films, Brave Enough and The Wanderlust Women, are currently being screened across multiple festivals and are picking up numerous awards.
As a Chinese, transgender man, Frit has first-hand experience and can deeply empathise with the issues that his characters face. This gives him the ability to tell their stories both respectfully and authentically.
Based predominantly in the UK, Frit lives part-time in his van and travels amongst national parks, coastal towns, and the mountains to infuse the outdoors into his everyday life.
