Francesca Costanzo is a film artist living and working in Philadelphia. She studied graphic design and advertising at the University of the Arts (formerly known as Philadelphia College of Art).
Ms. Costanzo uses her art as a voice to bring attention to certain social issues, mostly, those concerned with immigration, migration, and displacement. "As an artist, I have an inherent responsibility to use art as a vehicle for my voice to reach others. This is done through film and images." Her films are documentary style created to bring fundamental change within society. She prefers having black and white images on the screen to show their timelessness, especially surrounding these current social issues.
