Florencia Abigail Cáceres was born on March 16, 2001 in Lanús, Buenos Aires. Her interest in cinema and films led her to become self-taught in the area of writing film scripts.
In these years she worked in various jobs in the industry as a director, producer, screenwriter, cameraman, director of photography, editor, graphic designer and social media manager in her film production company founded in 2020 under the name EMPTY SPACE PRODUCTIONS together with her friend, Julieta Britez.
In 2019 she directed her first short film JULIETA, which portrays the life of a housewife. The following year he made his first and only animated short film THE WORLD OF EMMA (2020). During the pandemic, she created two of her most recognized and praised short films by critics and audiences: A GHOST STORY (2021) and THE MEANING OF LIFE (2020), which led her to enter the official selection of the Isolation Film Festival in England and the Thessaloniki Film Festival of Greece.
In 2021 he also directed and wrote a personal short film called LETTERS FROM A STRANGER which tells about his relationship with his mother and his desire to tell stories and make films. Then he directed a one-minute short film called THE LAST PERSON IN THE WORLD (2022) that takes into account what was experienced during the pandemic and the loneliness it brought.
In 2023, the director and producer carried out three projects. DISTANT DIÁLOGO (2023) is a short documentary told by Florencia Cáceres about her experience in college, the pandemic, and filmmaking during a trip through the province of Córdoba, Argentina. Then he made HUMAN VOICES (2023), a story about two brothers who reunite after many years due to the death of their father. It features wonderful original music by the English composer, Stuart Ironside.
And he ended the year with one of his best short films, YOU ALMOST LOOK LIKE A REAL PERSON (2023), a sequel to the short A Ghost Story, which is currently in official selections at festivals around the world.
Florencia Cáceres' career has been growing based on efforts, teamwork and films with a personal but universal touch.
