An Italian Filmaker, Cecilia Zambello won the 2014 edition by the film "Clorofilla tace".
A Mexican filmaker, Roberto Valdes, with his film "Algien", won the 2015 edition.
The 3rd Edition of the Festival (2016) has been won by an Italian filmaker, Enrico Le Pera, who submitted an American film, "Lulù and the right words".
The 4th edition has been won by the film "Crash" directed by Hong Heng Fai (Macau, China).
The Screenplay section of the 4th Festival has been won by an American writer from California, that's Duffy Hecht with the work "May ‘68".
Next 5th Firenze FilmCorti Festival will take place on late June of 2018. Meantime we organised a Special Firenze International Screenplay/Writing Contest that will take place in our town on December 12 and 13. Each admitted Screenplay writer will have the occasion to talk about his work. The awarded writers will be five!

First prize for best screenplay (long or short): A work made by a Tuscany artirst and the personalized plaque.
Second prize for short screenplay (max 30 pages): personalized plaque
Second prize for long screenplay (more than 30 pages): personalized plaque

All participants at final event will receive a parchment attesting their contribution.

Rules & Terms

1. The “Associazione di Arte e Cultura Cinematografica Rive Gauche – Arte Cinema”, Florence, Italy, is happy to announce the Special edition of Firenze Screenplay International Contest.

2. Short screenplays are admitted with max 30 pages
Long screenlayes must be more than 30 pages long.

3. Deadline for submission: November 10th, 2017. Only works submitted within this date will be considered. For members of the FEDIC the deadline is extended to October 10th 2017.

4.. Applicants should send a fee of $ 23.00 together with their work to FilmFreeway.

5. Applicants should send their work together with their contact details (adress, phone, cell, email) along with a short description (abstract) of the work and curriculum vitae.

6. The competitors whose works are admitted to the final event of the competition (12 and 13 of December 2017) will be notified by 10 to 20 of November 2017 via email and on the Rive Gauche-ArteCinema blog as well as on the Rive Gauche-ArteCinema network pages.

7. Final event. This will take place at Le Murate Progetti Arte Contemporanea in Florence, Piazza de Le Murate on December 12. Applicants will be shortlisted by the Jury. .Travel and accommodation and other expenses will be met by shortlisted applicants.

8. The finalists works will be presented during the course of a two day event on December 12 and 13, 2017. The final schedule will be advised closer to the time.
