Films MUST be related to the forced removal and incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II, or the deprivation of civil liberties as a result of Executive Order 9066, signed by then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Films can also include the forced removal of those of Japanese descent in Canada and Hawai‘i.
Films can be either feature-length or short documentaries, feature-length or short narratives, animations or experimental films.
Any films not related to the forced removal and incarceration of the Japanese American community during World War II WILL NOT be considered, and will be disqualified.
