Discover the Next Generation of Film

FilmDeck is an Australian independent film streaming platform dedicated to discovering and showcasing the next generation of filmmakers.

We provide emerging and independent creators with an opportunity to have their work seen by audiences beyond the traditional festival circuit.

FilmDeck welcomes short films, feature films, documentaries, animation, experimental works, web series, music videos and AI-assisted and AI-generated films from creators around the world.

Selected projects may be invited to stream on the FilmDeck platform under a non-exclusive agreement, allowing filmmakers to retain ownership and control of their work.

Projects selected for FilmDeck's inaugural launch catalogue may receive FilmDeck Founding Selection Laurels and recognition as part of FilmDeck's founding collection.

The FilmDeck Audience Choice Award may be presented to a project chosen by viewers through audience engagement and voting on the platform.

**FilmDeck Founding Selection – Official FilmDeck Laurels**

Awarded exclusively to projects selected for FilmDeck's inaugural launch catalogue and founding collection. Founding Selection recipients will receive the official FilmDeck Founding Selection Laurels and recognition as part of FilmDeck's founding collection.

**Audience Choice Award – Official FilmDeck Laurels**

Presented to a project chosen by viewers through audience engagement and voting on the FilmDeck platform. The recipient will receive the official FilmDeck Audience Choice Award Laurels.

**Selected projects may also receive:**

• Featured placement on the FilmDeck platform
• Promotion across FilmDeck social media channels
• Inclusion in curated collections and spotlight features
• Exposure to FilmDeck's growing audience of independent film enthusiasts

Additional awards and opportunities may be introduced as FilmDeck continues to grow.

Rules & Terms

**Submission Package Requirements**

All submissions must include:

• Final screening file (MP4, MOV or ProRes). Horizontal formats are recommended for films, documentaries and long-form content. Vertical formats are accepted where appropriate.
• Official poster artwork
• Film stills or promotional images
• Trailer or teaser (where available). Both horizontal and vertical formats are accepted.
• Project synopsis
• Director name
• Recommended audience classification (G, PG, M, MA15+ or R18+)
• Relevant content warnings where applicable
• Production year
• Country of origin
• Primary language
• Previous festival selections, awards and nominations (where applicable)
• Confirmation that the entrant owns or controls all necessary rights

Optional at submission:

• Director biography
• Subtitles or caption files
• Media kit or press materials

If selected, FilmDeck may request additional materials, including a director biography, subtitle or caption files, media kit materials and other promotional assets to support publication on the FilmDeck platform.

Projects that do not include the required materials may not be considered for selection.

**Rules & Terms**

• You retain full ownership of your work at all times.

• Submitting to FilmDeck does not transfer any ownership or intellectual property rights to FilmDeck.

• Submission does not guarantee selection.

• If your project is selected, FilmDeck will provide the relevant licensing agreement for review before any content is published on the platform.

• No project will be published on FilmDeck without the creator's approval and a fully executed agreement.

• Films, documentaries, animation, web series, music videos, experimental works and AI-assisted or AI-generated projects are eligible for submission.

• Entrants must own or control all rights necessary to submit the project, including music, footage, images and any third-party content.

• Projects must be completed works at the time of submission.

• Submissions may be made by filmmakers, producers, distributors or authorised representatives.

• Projects selected for FilmDeck's inaugural launch catalogue may receive FilmDeck Founding Selection Laurels and recognition as part of FilmDeck's founding collection.

• The Audience Choice Award may be presented to a project chosen by viewers through audience engagement and voting on the FilmDeck platform.

• Projects containing AI-generated or AI-assisted content should be disclosed during submission.

• FilmDeck reserves the right to decline submissions that contain unlawful content, copyright infringement, hate speech, defamatory material or misleading information.

• By submitting, entrants confirm that all information provided is accurate and that they have the authority to submit the project for consideration.

• Full submission terms and any applicable licensing agreements will be provided directly to selected creators for review prior to publication.
