FESTIVAL’S PROGRAM
Competition program:
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION – only full-length feature films (fiction films from 70 to 130 minutes) produced within the last two years and not released in France can take part.
Out-of-competition program:
HERITAGE – a world cinema program: a retrospective of the prominent filmmakers, special screenings of milestone films, tribute;
NATIONAL FILM DAY – best hits, award winning films in the country of production.
All screenings are followed by Q&A with the representative of the film.
Industry program - in addition to daily film screenings, the festival provides its audience with panel discussions and other professional film industry events.
The screenings and events program are determined by the Program department.
SUBMISSION FORM REGULATIONS
All submissions are made through FilmFreeway.
Selection of the films shall be carried out by the Festival Program department. Once the film is officially selected, the producers of the films shall forward the following materials to the Festival Program department:
• Dialogue lists in English/French in srt format;
• Synopsis, promotional materials, press-kits;
• Information for the Catalogue (director’s biography, filmography, photo of the director, poster of the film and 3-4 film stills, film trailer).
Producers, distributors or other film companies submitting a film must ensure that they are legitimately entitled to enter a film in the festival.
SCREENING FORMAT
Films in the official program are screened in the original format in DCP in the original language with English/French subtitles.
The film, selected to one of the festival’s programs shall not be withdrawn after the official confirmation of its participation.
Each film shall not be screened for more than two times during the festival.
All conditions and terms are mandatory; otherwise, the Festival Program Department reserves the right to exclude the film from the festival program.
OFFICIAL PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS
The screening of the film in the official competition program of the Festival provides the possible attendance of one representative from the film (one member of the film crew) agreed and approved by the Festival's Management Board.
Conditions of the guests’ attendance shall be specified in their individual invitation letters.
JURY
The International Jury is formed for the evaluation of the competition program.
Travel expenses to Paris and back as well as accommodation of the jury members are covered by the Festival's Management Board.
International Jury must not consist of individuals who participated in the production or distribution of the films screened in competition.
