Fernanda Oetling is a Mexican writer and filmmaker born and raised in Guadalajara. She has a deep passion for world mythologies, which captured her imagination from a young age and never let go.

Her work explores themes of growth, self-realization and finding community. She aims to stimulate audiences to question what they have been told and strengthen their empathy. She believes in the power of writing and the medium of film to move people deeply, and views this as a responsibility.

In her spare time, she can be found at the movie theater or trying out sports in a quest to find one she actually enjoys.
