Felix Röben studied at the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad (MA Film & Video Communication), where he met Ajay Koli. In collaboration they created a film essay about physical labor and its cyclical movements. Coal India (47min) was premiered at IDFA 2015 and shown at several international film festivals and exhibitions (e.g. FICA, Goiás Brazil / Cinema Verité, Tehran Iran / Planet in Focus, Toronto Canada / Dortmunder U, Flötze Weltweit)
Since 2014 Felix Röben has been working as a DOP and editor (e.g. Dr. Ines Weizmann, Architecture Biennale Venice 2023 / Georg Tiller, Godsterminal 2021). Felix Röben received the Grenzgänger Stipend of Rober-Bosch-Stiftung / Literarisches Colloquium in 2017 and the VG Bild-Kunst Stipend in 2021.
His latest Film “Live Action Role Play” was funded by Nordmedia (mediatalents) and the Friedrich Weinhagen Foundation.
