The Farmstead Alliance is excited to welcome you to submit your shorts to our first annual Farmstead Film Festival. Taking place at Farmstead Park (this is an outdoor event); this event is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th (with a raindate of Sunday, May 17th). Happy hour begins at 6:30pm, and screenings begin at 8pm.

Filmmakers of the featured shorts will receive complimentary tickets to the event. All proceeds from this event go towards the restoration and preservation of the historic Farmstead.

We encourage guests to bring their own chairs/blankets, as this will be screened outdoors. There will be food and beverage trucks available. There will be an intermission halfway through the films that will showcase some exciting speakers for a short Q&A.

*Farmstead Park consists of 10 acres of land and it is located at 2668 Byberry Road, Hatboro, PA. 19040. Contained within the 10 acres are four stone structures, those being a Farmhouse, Barn, Carriage House, and Spring House. These structures remain one of the few, nearly complete, 18th century farmsteads in the area, and may well be the last parcel of land in the original twenty-five square miles of the original Manor of Moreland to be held by members of the Dr. Nicholas More family. Farmstead Park, an outstanding restoration project in Upper Moreland Township, received a 2025 Montgomery Award for creative and sustainable site design, community engagement, and adaptive historic preservation.

Films must abide by the PG-13 regulations and standards. Filmmakers are not required to be at the event if their film is shown, but it is highly recommended. If you are not physically there and win an award, the award can be mailed to you. This festival is open to everyone.

Please be mindful that sound is loud enough without distortions and the pictures are clear. Time Code or watermarks are distracting so we ask that you submit the on-air/final version of your entry. Films (with beginning titles and credits) must not be longer than 15 minutes. If your film is accepted into the festival, we may ask for a copy of the film off this website. Your film will not be shown to anyone before the festival, only the panel of judges. Your film will not be used in any way outside of the screening at the festival.

By entering this festival, you agree that this film is yours and you have permission to screen it at the event.

There is only one fee (non-refundable) for filmmakers, the $25 entry and application fee. Please be mindful that we will never ask you for any other funds. This event is part of the Farmstead on Tap lineup. All proceeds of the event go towards restoration and preservation of the historic Farmstead through the Farmstead Alliance; a 501(c)(3).

Filmmakers will receive free entry into the actual event. For all others attending it is $15 for adults; and $10 for students.
