FANTASMAL FILM FEST is a hybrid festival dedicated to independent, personal, and exploratory works: films that move along the edges of intimacy, sensitivity, and form. From Colombia, we embrace the diversity of contemporary cinema and the many ways of seeing and narrating the world.
Each edition unfolds over six months, during which submitted films move through several curatorial stages. From this process, an official selection emerges and is made available for a private, time-limited digital screening within the festival’s restricted online environment.
Throughout the edition, the programming team determines which works advance as semifinalists. These films are then presented at a public screening in a movie theater in Medellín, Colombia, an event that marks the close of the festival and where the winners in each category are announced.

FANTASMAL FILM FEST es un festival híbrido dedicado a obras independientes, personales e inquietas: películas que exploran los bordes de la intimidad, la sensibilidad y la forma. Desde Colombia, celebramos la diversidad del cine contemporáneo y las múltiples maneras de mirar y narrar el mundo.
Cada edición se desarrolla durante seis meses, tiempo en el que las películas inscritas atraviesan distintas etapas curatoriales. De este proceso surge una selección oficial que se habilita para una exhibición digital privada y de tiempo limitado, realizada en un entorno online de acceso restringido del festival.
A lo largo de la edición, el equipo de programación define las obras que avanzan como semifinalistas. Estas películas se proyectan en una función pública en una sala de cine en Medellín, Colombia, evento que marca el cierre del festival y donde se anuncian los ganadores en cada categoría.
