Faisal Hashmi is a Dubai-based independent freelance filmmaker with a number of award-winning short films and branded content under his belt.
Over recent years,, his fascination with the horror and thriller genre gravitated his short films in that direction. His horror short films 'Scrambled', 'Cold Feet' and 'Sleight' have played at more than a dozen horror film festivals in the United States, Europe and Asia and won multiple awards. On Youtube, his short films have more than 700,000 views combined. He has received major press with a cover story in Weekend Magazine and featured in other publications like The National, Gulf News as well as radio and TV features.
Currently, Faisal is developing an independent horror film that he hopes to shoot next year as well as a number of other boundary-pushing short films.
