International Festival of Film for Children and Youth of Sousse (FIFEJ). Created in 1991, FIFEJ has established itself as an essential annual film event, dedicated to young audiences and the promotion of film culture. This event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the National Center of Cinema and Image (CNCI), in partnership with the Municipality of Sousse.

Article 1
The International Children's and Youth Film Festival (FIFEJ) is an annual event aimed at
presenting films to the general public and organizing meetings between this audience
and authors, directors, producers, distributors, technicians, performers, as well as all
others involved. The main objective of this festival is to showcase and promote
cinematographies that address themes related to youth and childhood.

Article 2
The International Festival of Film for Children and Youth Association (FIFEJ) is organizing
the 14th edition of the International Festival of Film for Children and Youth (FIFEJ),
supported by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the National Center for Cinema and
Image (CNCI), which will take place from April 8 to 12, 2025, in Sousse.
The FIFEJ editions are directed by:
- A Director who defines its general orientations and ensures its organization through
an organizing committee that is accountable to them.
- A Board Committee composed of members of the International Festival of Film for
Children and Youth Association (FIFEJ).
- An Executive Committee, selected by the director and placed under their
responsibility, which is in charge of organizing the FIFEJ in its artistic, technical, and
logistical aspects.
- A Support Committee: composed of representatives from the ministries and
institutions involved in organizing FIFEJ.

Article 3
Films participating in the FIFEJ in the OFFICIAL Competition sections, excluding parallel
sections and any special screenings, must have been completed after the closing date
of registration for the previous edition.
Any film selected and included in the FIFEJ program:
- cannot be withdrawn by the director or producer (before or after its screening)
- will be subject to a maximum of two (2) screenings.

Article 4
The FIFEJ is open to feature films, animated films, and documentaries, whether short or long in length.

The official program of FIFEJ includes the following sections:
- OFFICIAL COMPETITION FEATURE FILMS: Open to feature films (fiction, documentary, or animation) addressing themes of youth and childhood.
- OFFICIAL COMPETITION SHORT FILMS: Open to professional short films (fiction, documentary, or animation) addressing themes of youth and childhood.
CINÉ JEUNESSE: Open to school or amateur short films (fiction, documentary, or animation) created by filmmakers under 30 years old.
- CINÉ ENFANCE: Open to short films (fiction, documentary, or animation) created by children.
- National Photography Competition: A national photography competition on the theme of children's rights.
- Parallel Sections: HOMAGES, SPECIAL SCREENINGS, AND OTHERS: Open to feature and short films of all genres (fiction, animation, documentary).

Article 5
The selection of films for the various sections is the exclusive responsibility of the FIFEJ
management, which is the sole authority to determine the number of feature and short films that can be selected for each of the aforementioned sections, after viewing electronic links or DVDs of the films.

Article 6
To be eligible for the OFFICIAL COMPETITION, all films must have been produced after April 12, 2022.
- The OFFICIAL COMPETITION sections are each open to a maximum of two (2) short films and two (2) feature films per country.

Article 7
An official award list will be established and announced by an international jury of five (5) members, appointed by the FIFEJ management, for the OFFICIAL COMPETITION section of feature and short films.
An official award list will also be established and announced by an international jury of three (3) to five (5) members, appointed by the FIFEJ management, for the CINÉ JEUNESSE / CINÉ ENFANCE short films section.

Article 9

he deadline for registering films in competition is set for March 15, 2025 (inclusive).
The deadline for registering photographs in competition is set for March 30, 2025 (inclusive).

Article 10
A projection copy of the films must reach the headquarters of the FIFEJ Board Committee no later than March 30, 2025 (inclusive) at the following address:
