FICM ANNOUNCEMENT 2024
The International Film and Sea Festival - province of Sidi Ifni - Morocco, announces the opening of registrations for creators and directors of short films and fiction documentaries of all categories in Morocco and abroad to participate in the 9th festival session according to the following technical conditions:
The International Film and Sea Festival is a film festival and an international cultural event organized by the association that bears the same name as the festival in partnership with the Moroccan Film Center, the councils of Sidi Ifni and Miralleft municipalities, the Council of Guelmim-Oued Noun Region, the Employment Council and the Regional Directorate of Culture and in coordination with the prefecture of the province of Sidi Ifni, and In this context, the festival places among its priorities the service of the region and of its inhabitants, then works to achieve the objectives of its partners and strives to contribute to the development of the region by making it in the center of interest of all the media and show its capacities available.

Rules & Terms

1. Participation is open to Moroccan citizens and foreigners.
2. The films nominated for participation must obligatory be associated with the theme of the sea and the environment, or film at least half of its scenes at sea and in an ecological space.
3. Non-English language films must have a film subtitle.
4. The duration of the film must not exceed 15 minutes.
5. The festival management appoints a specialized committee to select the films participating in the official competition.
6. It is not allowed to withdraw the film from the competition after its acceptance by the selection committee.
7. The festival management has the right to keep copies of the films and use them for non-commercial purposes.
8. The festival management is authorized to translate the titles and summaries of the nominated films into other languages.
9. The two directors receive only three prizes: Grand Prize - Al Bahar Cinema Award - Documentary Prize.
10. The festival can mention the films it deems appropriate for the entitlement without specifying the number.
