-São elegíveis filmes exibidos na Internet ou noutros festivais.
-Os filmes podem ser em português ou em qualquer outra língua com legendas em português. A organização poderá utilizar fragmentos das obras selecionadas (máximo 10%) para promoção das mesmas e do festival.
-A seleção oficial será anunciada a todos os candidatos até abril, sendo depois publicada no site do festival e/ou outros canais de comunicação.
LEGENDAGEM:
-Os filmes inscritos que não estejam em português devem ser acompanhados de um screener legendado em português.
As legendas não são obrigatórias para o processo de seleção, mas se o filme for selecionado, será obrigatório o envio de legendas em português de Portugal em formato srt simples.
-Os filmes da Edição em curso do FICAS serão exibidos no Funchal e outros Concelhos, na Ilha da Madeira.
DURAÇÃO:
-Curtas-metragens: duração máxima de 25 minutos.
FORMATO:
-Podem participar filmes realizados em qualquer formato. As exibições serão em cópia de exibição HD (tipo de ficheiro .MP4 ou .MOV) Compressão H.264 com ligação para download em formato de ficheiro digital (o tipo de ficheiro necessário para as exibições será comunicado aos seleccionados com antecedência).
-Data de produção não superior a 5 anos à data da Edicão em curso do Festival.
-A organização reserva-se o direito de não aceitar um filme a concurso se este não for enviado dentro do prazo, juntamente com toda a documentação solicitada, incluindo as legendas em Português de Portugal.
-Uma vez recebidos os filmes dentro do prazo, a organização seleccionará os que entrarão em competição.
-A inscrição implica a aceitação do presente regulamento.
-O FICAS apenas notificará os filmes seleccionados.
-O festival não paga qualquer taxa pela exibição dos filmes.
DECLARAÇÃO DE RESPONSABILIDADES E AUTORIZAÇÃO DE IMAGEM:
- Todos os participantes devem assinar uma declaração de autorização de exibição.
- A participação neste Open Call implica a aceitação de todos os termos nele contidos.
- Ao submeter um projeto, está a autorizar a sua exibição no ciclo, sendo que apenas o documento acima referido servirá como confirmação oficial.
-O Festival reserva-se o direito de efetuar as alterações necessárias ao regulamento ou ao programa. Quaisquer questões não contempladas aqui serão resolvidas pela organização do FICAS.
-É importante que o filme não infrinja os direitos de propriedade intelectual e/ou industrial de terceiros. A organização não assume qualquer responsabilidade por litígios que possam surgir entre entidades que reclamem os direitos de autoria de uma curta-metragem.

Films that promote environmental awareness and inspire positive change.
Films shown on the Internet or at other festivals are eligible.
Films can be in Portuguese or any other language with Portuguese subtitles. The organization may use fragments of the selected works (maximum 10%) to promote them and the festival.
The official selection will be announced to all applicants by April of each year, and will then be published on the festival's website and/or other communication channels.
SUBTITLING:
-Submitted films that are not in Portuguese must be accompanied by a screener -subtitled in Portuguese.
-Subtitles are not required for the selection process, but if the film is selected, it is mandatory to send Portuguese (from Portugal) subtitles for the screening.
-The FICAS films of the present Edition will be screened in Funchal and other main Municipalities in Madeira Island - Portugal.
DURATION:
Short films: maximum duration of 25 minutes.
FORMAT:
-Films shot in any format may participate. Screenings will be i HD screening copy (file type .MP4 or .MOV) Compression H.264 with downloading link digital file format (the type of file required for screenings will be communicated to those selected in advance).
-Production date less than 5 years counting from the present FICAS Festival Edition.
-The organization reserves the right not to accept a film into the competition if it is not sent in by the deadline along with all the requested documentation and subtitles in srt format, in Portuguese from Portugal.
-Once the films have been received by the deadline, the organization will select those that will enter the competition.
-Registration implies acceptance of these guidelines.
-FICAS will only notify the selected films.
The festival does not pay any fees for screening films.
STATEMENT OF RESPONSABILITY AND IMAGE AUTHORISATION:
- All participants must sign a declaration of authorisation to be shown.
- Participation in this Open Call implies acceptance of all the terms contained therein.
- By submitting a project, you are authorising it to be shown in the cycle, and only the document referred to above will serve as official confirmation.
The Festival reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the regulations or program. Any issues not covered here will be resolved by the FICAS organization.
It is important that the film does not infringe the intellectual and/or industrial property rights of third parties. The organization assumes no responsibility for disputes that may arise between entities claiming the rights of authorship of a short film.
