The Amiens Sexual and Emotional Education Film Festival (FFEVAS), organized by La Fabrique d’Images, is the first French short film festival dedicated entirely to affective and sexual education. The first edition will take place in Amiens from May 4 to 7, 2026. The festival presents an international selection of documentaries and short films addressing themes such as sexual diversity, consent, STI prevention, gender identity, gender equality, and healthy, egalitarian relationships.
Submissions are open to all national and international short films (fiction, animation, or documentary) focusing on affective and sexual education. Each participant may submit several short films. Films may be submitted in any language but must include French subtitles. The maximum duration for each short film is 22 minutes.

Short films selected for the Official Selection will be screened in the following categories:

Youth Section (Middle School)
Middle School Students’ Award: €300

Youth Section (High School)
High School Students’ Award: €300

Adult Section
Jury Award for Best Short Film (fiction, animation, or documentary): €300
Audience Award: €300

The second edition will take place in Amiens from May 4 to 7, 2026.

The festival presents an international selection of documentaries and short films addressing themes such as:

• gender identity
• gender equality
• healthy and egalitarian relationships

1. General Conditions

• Submissions are open to all national and international short films (fiction, animation, or documentary) related to affective and sexual education.
• Each participant may submit multiple films.
• Films may be submitted in any language but must include French subtitles.
• The maximum running time is 22 minutes.
• Submissions must be made between October 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025.

Required materials if selected:

• a high-quality screening copy of the short film,
• stills and/or the official poster,
• French subtitles for foreign films.

2. Selection and Jury

• The selection is carried out by a viewing committee.
• A jury composed of professionals from the fields of cinema, education, and sexual health will award the prizes.
• Jury decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

3. Selection Criteria

Submitted films must:
• strictly respect the fundamental rights of all individuals;
• contain no discriminatory, offensive, or degrading content;
• respect intellectual property rights.

4. Screenings and Awards

Screenings will take place in various cultural venues throughout Amiens.

Selected films will form the Official Selection, presented in the following categories:

1. Youth Section (fiction, animation, or documentary)

2. Adult Section (fiction, animation, or documentary)

• Jury Award: €300
• Audience Award: €300
• Women Inmates’ Award: €300

3. Special Mentions

• No financial compensation.

5. Rights and Responsibilities

• By participating, filmmakers grant the festival the right to screen their films during the event, during the retrospective held the following weekend, and as part of the FFEVAS Tour 2026.
• Selected short films may be used for promotional purposes (excerpts of up to 30 seconds).
• Participants guarantee that they hold all necessary rights for the exhibition of their film.

6. Final Provisions

• Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these regulations.
• The organizers reserve the right to modify the regulations if necessary.
• In case of dispute, only the Court of Amiens shall have jurisdiction.
