Erin O'Connor is a self-taught filmmaker based in Montréal, known for their diverse skill set acquired from her background in project management, marketing for media brands, community organizing, and her role as the oldest sibling to five sisters. Erin's first short film 'Fire Flames' was selected by the Cannes Short Film Corner program and received the Best Editing Award at Short to the Point. 'Fire Flames' received seven official selections, including accolades like Hollywood New Directors Honorable Mention and the Best Indie Filmmaker title at the Top Shorts Film Festival.
In 2021, Erin founded AGATHA, a production company named after her great-grandmother. She made music videos for notable artists such as Jonah Yano, Patrick Holland, and Daniel Bélanger, ad spots, and short films for other directors. AGATHA's work caught the attention of Telefilm, securing funding for a feature film script in 2022 and a comedy project supported by the Canada Arts Council this year.
