Erin McGuff-Pennington (she/her) graduated from NYU/Tisch and has worked as a writer, director, actor, and teacher. Her short screenplay "Rosalie," which she also directed, was a second-rounder pick at the 2023 Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition. Other recent screenplays include the award-winning “American Quartet,” a narrative short set to classical music and produced by Filmelodic.
Originally from Texas, Erin now writes from New York’s Hudson Valley, where she lives with her husband, two young children, and an Irish terrier. Her novel-in-progress was a finalist in the Writers’ League of Texas Manuscript Contest. She is one half of the producing team behind Ruffled Owl Productions.
